Improvement of the SYMPTOMATOLOGY of Functional Intestinal Disorders (FID)1 Improvement of VISCERAL HYPERSENSITIVITY and ABDOMINAL PAIN associated with Irritable Bowel Syndrome2,3 Reduction in the duration of PAIN DAYS after Colonoscopy4
Irritable Bowel Syndrome is one of the most common Functional Bowel Disorders in the population. It causes abdominal discomfort and alterations in the frequency and/or consistency of intestinal transit. This syndrome greatly influences the quality of life of those who suffer from it.
It is usually a chronic disease, although in some cases it may be sporadic. It occurs more frequently in young women, under 35 years of age, and the probability of suffering it is reduced after 55 years of age.
Although its symptoms are variable, the most common are:
- Alterations in bowel movements, leading to periods of diarrhea and/or constipation.
- Abdominal pain: it is usually a pain of moderate intensity that is usually relieved after defecation. Sometimes it usually originates after eating some food.
- Mucus in the stool: a whitish mucus may appear in the stool.
- Gas and bloating: another symptom is the sensation of bloating and pain due to excess air. It may occur after the ingestion of certain foods. They may be accompanied by burning.
Vitaplus® IB Supportis a dietary supplement that has demonstrated efficacy in improving the symptomatology of Functional Bowel Disorders, visceral hypersensitivity and abdominal pain associated with Irritable Bowel Syndrome and also reduces the days of pain following colonoscopy.
In addition, Vitamins B12 and D3 contribute to the normal functioning of the immune system.
